Starting the Casting of the Veil Quest in Praetor
Starting todays gaming session on The Outer Worlds 2, I travelled to Praetor with Tristan looking into their Companion Quest.
To to the Central Control based and harassed outside but the guy didn’t want to aggro me.
I decided to sneak around this and ultimately sneak around the base without fighting any of the enemies inside. There was a fair few, but didn’t want to start a fight with them all, this was the first time I was sneaking through the base. So this was a little different to my normal shoot everything playstyle.
Saw something was up in the final area. I died a few times to the mechs that spawn during the fight, but knowing they spawned helped fight through this and actually take cover.
The discussion with Mayhall didn’t progress further into saving them. I figure I could if I picked other options if I had the skill stats. I mentioned I saved both the Mentally refreshed individual and the guy who tried to hunt me down prior to this quest, in both reloads, however this didn’t help.

I had to sneak our after this via the same path I came in and didn’t experience any further problems with this quest, I was able to fast travel out nearer to my next location for the next quest I had.
I did experience a level up during this

Unfortunately due to the easily Distracted Flaw I am stuck to leveling up lower level skills, I didn’t realise until after I started putting points into some, it was only the non-zero skills that needed to be the highest.

Starting Mysteries of the Mental Modulators
Now time to start the faction quest at the same location.

Traveling through, there are a small handful of enemies, thankfully ‘The Simplifier’ is a good sniper rifle to carry any used.

I had got a new flaw on the way, Easily Startled! this seems, somewhat beneficial as most of the time I am not sneaking. However may have hindered me later on.

I travelled my way for Mysteries of the Mental Modulators, didn’t experience many issues and found my way into Placid Waters Wellintarium.
Didn’t need to sneak initially, but I did try when I encountered hostile enemies, however I got into a gunfight and gave up.
Made my way through, killed everyone who stopped me and left the patience, got the required intel for Auntie.
I did see the former sovereign who was mentally refreshed and wasn’t speaking, but the ‘guard’ refused to let me take them out.
Quest was complete so I headed to Auntie’s ship.

Handed this in and got to speak to Auntie for a short time who agreed to further negotiations with the order.
